Helloooo
I did it another finished item for the year, and I frogged to socks and flung them on the floor – and promptly cast on another colour work project!
Pattern: Vitamin D by Heidi Kirrmaier
Yarn: Madelinetosh Merino light in Tern – just under 3 skeins
Needles: 3.75mm & 3mm addi turbos & knit picks
This was my trial by cardigan – I cast on back last year in wollmeise maus jung and knit to the first front short rows and then on winding the second ball had a really bad match of skeins – which was not at all apparent until I started knitting. I was so demoralised that I flung it aside, flinging theme going on here at the moment. Start of the new year and a big deep breath this is not going to get the better of me – I cast on again. It was such a fun quick knit – even those dreaded sleeves didn’t go on for too long. I opted for the 3/4 sleeves – which now it is blocked I am really happy with. So as per usual I am to sew in the ends and then it is really finished HURRAH
So this weekend has been cast on central. Moebius, swatch for a jumper and the start of a baby blanket for one cutie I used to teach piano too!!! Can you believe it these little people grow up and have their own little people!
there was some gardening and some running and some mooching around the house too a great weekend.
OMG a swatch!!!!!

Heh heh, yay for swatching!
Your colour work is looking fabbo (love the co,ours – no really!) and yay for another lovely cardi. Great colour, and agree on 3/4 sleeves – I am a big fan of the 3/4 sleeve in our temperate climate!
Such a productive weekend! Isn’t the moebius looking wonderful? I agree with Jane – love the colour combination – what’s the yarn?
The Vitamin D looks awesome. And yeah, I totally understand about those little knitting snits. I’ve done the same flinging thing with my snapdragon mitts (failed numerous times to knit them… sigh).
Anyway, looks very productive!
oh beautiful vitamin D. cant wait to see it on you! so very you. and look how much youve done of the moebius. i hope those socks think long and hard about what they’re missing out on!
Vitamin D looks great, I’m so resisting casting on for that one, but I do need to finish Celery and the Kimono first. Love the colourwork too!
Hooray for finished cardigans!
Hi, I love the speed of your click clack (knitting) output! Your moebius picture inspired me to look up Kate Davies – she makes lovely stuff! I have made a number of moebiussssesss (what on earth is the plural?) – but knitted them in one seamless go, decreasing on one half of the row, increasing on the other, in order to shape it to fit nicely over the shoulder. Addictive!
